Spirit of Arcadia Passes & LCA Board Elected

20161112_103303This year, we had the largest voter turnout in history of Camp Arcadia’s Lutheran Camp Association (LCA), and I am thrilled to say that our facility master plan, Spirit of Arcadia: Building for the Future, passed by 86%.

Thank you to the members of the LCA who attended our annual meeting in St. Joseph Michigan on November 12 and all who voted in support of the campaign.

Our facility master plan will secure the future of Camp Arcadia, by ensuring that our buildings are protected, and enabling us to continue to meet and exceed the expectations of our guests. We are eager to get started. Over the next few months, we will be hard at work, securing our team and finalizing our strategy to create a strong foundation for success of our plan. This is commonly referred to as the ‘silent phase’ of the campaign. Rest assured, we will be in touch to both report on progress and to start conversations about how you can support the campaign.

In the meantime, please visit our website to learn more about the Spirit of Arcadia: Building for the Future.

Also at the LCA annual meeting Stan Scheumann, Mark Jaeger and Phil Jones were re-elected to three-year terms to the LCA board of directors.  The 2016 season’s registrations were reported to be right on course, bringing in 99% of the budgeted amount.  The expenses look to come in on budget as well. We give thanks to God for an amazing 2016.
