After gathering data and much discussion and research the Lutheran Camp Association (LCA) Board of Directors met on April 14 to assess Camp Arcadia’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic. We are continuing to evaluate the options for the Camp schedule this season and have not cancelled any portion of the Camp season at this point. We will revisit the possibility of cancelling our first three retreats (Summer Starter, Alpha and Omega Teen retreats) at the end of April.
We are monitoring the situation closely; any decisions about the summer season will be based on recommendations from federal and state government health organizations as well as our commitment to keeping you and our staff safe. The LCA board will be meeting regularly throughout the spring to assess our 2020 season and will keep you informed as decisions are made. We hope and pray that you are safe and healthy, and we ask that you keep Camp Arcadia’s leadership in your prayers as we navigate the many decisions that will need to be made in the coming weeks and months.
