Last summer, we held a poster competition, encouraging submissions from artists in our community in celebration of Camp Arcadia’s 100th Anniversary season. We are so thankful to each and every one of the individuals who submitted a design as part of the competition.
It is with great joy that we announce our CO-CONTEST WINNERS: Jeff Carnehl and Dr. Paul Gunderson! Each piece of art is in process with our graphic designer to create posters that will be available for purchase in the Trading Post throughout the 100th Anniversary season. Over the next month, we’ll be sharing a little more about each artist and their artwork… but for now, we’ll share their names and a “sneak peek” of their poster design!
Join us in thanking these artists for their beautiful submissions!
100th Anniversary Poster Contest Winners
Note from the Artist: Jeff Carnehl
“In spite of my design being personal to myself and family, I’m thinking the message rings true universally for all who have enjoyed the blessings of Camp Arcadia and even the surrounding area!”
Note from the Artist: Dr. Paul Gunderson
The name of this piece is “A Happy Camper.” – “I have always noticed how happy the young mothers are at Camp RKD. They have time to think and read while their families are happily engaged in other activities.”
Beautiful pieces of artwork that tell the story of Camp Arcadia and its values in different perspectives.
Love both of these, and as a mother of 3, Camp RKD does bring a happy camper mom.
Two beautiful pieces of art. Paul, I never knew you were an artist, but knew you were a great musician! Great talents!
Just perfect!
It’s going to be a great year at camp.
Thank you both.
Thanks to you both for encapsulating the spirit of Arcadia.
