Come to the women’s retreats and learn where to find contentment and purpose. Enjoy fellowship with women facing similar life challenges. It’s a time of mentoring and healing, of laughing and sitting back and realizing, “I can do this!” Spend a faith-renewing, invigorating weekend among friends! Learn, inquire, share, and grow during this retreat designed for adult women.
We still have room in Women’s Retreat II – Sept. 20 – 22 with Monique Nunes and Phyllis Wallace. Monique will be talking about “A Woman After God’s Own Heart”. Monique identifies with our challenge to make time for God and family; for passion in our prayers; for listening to God as we expect His abundant blessings. Through her personal testimony and God’s Word, she will stir our hearts as we see how all of this affects our relationships, even with strangers! Monique bases her study on the book, “A Woman After God’s Own Heart,” by Elizabeth George.
Monique is Assistant Director Of Multicultural Programs at Valparaiso University. Her vocal music performances bless audiences worldwide. She has taught for Bible Study Fellowship as a children’s leader and leads workshops throughout the country. Married to the Rev. Dr. John Nunes, former Executive Director of Lutheran World Relief, and currently serving at Valparaiso University as the Jochum Professor and Chair. They are blessed to have five grown children.
