What to Expect
Camp Arcadia’s ministry is made possible by our dedicated staff and volunteers. Led by our Management and Seasonal Leadership Staff, the staff of Camp Arcadia breathe life into its vision, mission and values through their tireless work each day. There are several ways to serve at Camp Arcadia throughout the season.
Summer Staff
Who: College-Aged Young Adults
When: mid-May until mid-August
What: Around 40 college-aged staff members work in a variety of areas (kitchen, program, housekeeping, landscaping, media/photography, archives, office and Trading Post) to run Camp for a majority of its retreat season.
Full Season Staff
Who: College-Aged Young Adults (not returning to school in August – either graduated, taking a gap year, etc.)
When: mid-May through the end of October
What: Full Season Staff get the benefit of working on staff throughout Camp’s entire operational season. These full season positions are great opportunities to gain leadership experience and make great internship opportunities.
End of Season Staff
Who: Anyone between 16-86!
When: mid-August through the end of October
What: As our Summer Staff return to school in August, we need End of Season Staff and Volunteers to step into their positions and help lead Camp’s retreats.
Teen Retreat Staff
Who: Adults aged 22+ with rich personal faith lives & a passion for high school ministry
When: Alpha Teen Retreat or Omega Teen Retreat
What: Teen Week Counselors work with groups of 8-11 high school students, leading them through team building activities, group bonding, Bible study and application discussions. Camp Health Officers ensure the safety and wellness of our teens throughout the week.
