Lutherhostel
What to Expect
Lutherhostel is a late-August retreat for older adults (usually 65+, but not always!) arriving Saturday afternoon and departing on Thursday after lunch. Enjoy typical Camp Arcadia activities – singing and the Dean’s Program in the morning, tournaments like shuffleboard and bocce, and time for crafting, card games and fellowship each day – in addition to afternoon off-site trips (including transportation) which are organized for your enjoyment. Don’t forget the Salt City Dixie Jazz Band performance or the evening worship services to cap off wonderful, fun-filled days at Camp!

Galloping Through Galatians
St. Paul’s letter to the Galatians is one of the foundational books of the New Testament, setting out the central teaching of Christianity, that a sinner is justified by grace in Christ through faith in Christ apart from our works. Martin Luther thought this letter to be so important, he wrote two commentaries on it! We will take a four session gallop through Galatians with cameo appearances from Luther.

Revelation: Encouragement for Now
The last book of the New Testament weaves a beautiful and challenging tapestry of Old and New Testament threads to present an encouraging picture to Christians. The Lamb is with His Church! It is no wonder that the Revelation of Jesus Christ to Saint John has inspired much hymnody, art, and discussion. We’ll dig through Revelation, focusing on its encouragement for us today.
