This month, we hosted two weekend Women’s Retreats that featured two fantastic speakers: Gretchen Ronnevik and Jan Struck. The topic for Week 1 was “Spiritual Disciplines for the Spiritually Exhausted” and Week 2’s topic was “Finding a Balance” and studied the story of Mary and Martha.
Both weekends were filled with joyful energy as Campers connected with old friends and made new ones. The weather was perfect for early fall: sunny and blue skies with late-summer warmth that was perfect for sitting on the Inn porch or catching up on the Patio. Scattered showers occasionally blew through Camp, but nothing could dampen the Campers’ joy.

Several Campers attended with their Bible study or women’s group from church, and many Campers exclusively come to Camp Arcadia for this unique retreat.
The weekend of community and fellowship was complemented by the musical talents of Brooke, Lucie, and Karolein Orozco, and Daniel Bennett, as well as the Mogan Brothers Band.
We cherished the opportunity to gather together, and we hope to see our Women’s Retreat Campers again next year!

Camp Arcadia’s Women’s Retreats are the highlight of my year. It is a place where I come to be renewed, refreshed and restored. Laughter, reflection and soul nourishment are all but guaranteed. It is a sacred weekend of making space to sit at the feet of Jesus, enjoy His bountiful blessings, and spend time with my soul sisters. Truly a little slice of Heaven on earth.
