Meeting minutes will be made available shortly, but for the time being, a brief summary of the business of the meeting is included below.
After a welcome from Dr. Paul Culler, outgoing LCA Board President, and a devotion from Rev. Brad Hubbard, LCA Board Chaplain, board members were introduced, quorum was affirmed and the agenda for the meeting was approved, as well as the LCA Annual Meeting Minutes from 2022 and 2023. 350 were present in person, by Zoom or by proxy.
Dr. Culler gave his President’s Report, remarking on the impact and importance of Camp’s ministry in his life and the lives of many – in family, in faith and in friendship.
Candidates for the LCA Board and Arcadia Foundation Committee were introduced by Jackie Bywater, Nominations Committee Chair. Chip May, Executive Director, gave an overview of Motion II: Spirit of Arcadia – Growing Together. At that time, votes from the floor were called and tellers were dismissed to count ballots.
Chip returned to the podium to give his Executive Director’s report, followed by the Treasurer’s Report given by Kim Eveler and the Arcadia Foundation Report given by Rick Blum.
At that time, the results of the ballot counting were shared: all LCA Board and Foundation Committee nominees were approved, and Motion II – Spirit of Arcadia: Growing Together Master Site Plan was approved – it passed by 78%.
During the course of the meeting, special gratitude and recognition were shared for the following individuals:
- Dr. Paul Culler – finishing his terms on the LCA Board and as LCA Board President
- Dan Zehnder – finishing his terms on the LCA Board
- Jess McCallum Knoll – for her nine years of service to Camp Arcadia as Program Director and Assistant Director
