For the 2020 summer season, Camp Arcadia will be running in a Family Retreat Lite format beginning with the week of June 27 and running through Labor Day Weekend. This program style will allow us to adhere to recommendations from the health department while delivering an unforgettable Camp experience. Some of the precautions we are taken include: reducing the number of guests at Camp, limiting shared bathrooms, offering carry-out meal options and in-dining experiences, eliminating indoor programs and moving to more outdoor experiences, and reducing programming / eliminating staff supervision of children.
These six day retreats will feature an outstanding dean who will present one hour each day, made from scratch meals, and countless memories for all. To access more information please click the button above or call us at 231.889.4361.
Respite Care: Suspended for 2020 Season
The Kingdom of God affirms the dignity and value of all people regardless of their capacities. We honor guests with special needs and their families by creating opportunities tailored to them to be renewed in, “Spirit, Mind, and Body.” Camp Arcadia’s Respite Program assigns caring staff that will work to carry out a plan as defined by conversations with each family. If you are interested or would like more information about this program please contact the Camp Arcadia office.
Fall & Other Retreats
Camp Arcadia has a full fall schedule of retreats available. We offer three Fall Confirmation Retreats for 7th and 8th graders, two Women’s Retreats, and two Men’s Retreats. There is also a week-long Lutherhostel Retreat for older adults age 50 and older taking place in late August, and a week in early June for adults called “Summer Starter.”
Worship is integral to the Camp Arcadia experience. Whether you are here for a weekend or a week, you will have time to worship together. We have evening vesper services at the Chapel on the Beach, an outdoor worship space overlooking Lake Michigan. We also offer candlelit, contemplative worship called Arcadia Evening Prayer. Sunday morning worship during the summer usually takes place at Trinity Lutheran Church in the village of Arcadia, a short walking distance from the Camp.
