Serving at Arcadia

Working on staff at Camp Arcadia is extremely rewarding.  You lodge, eat, work, and play in an intentional Christian community.  Experiences are filled with unexpected adventures, friendships, revelations, blessings, and challenges.

There are  5 types of employment positions available at Camp Arcadia.

The RKD Staff - 1940

1. Full-Time Staff — Currently there are five full-time staff at Camp Arcadia - the Executive Director, Director of Food Service, Business Director, Facilities Director and Program Director.
2. Summer Staff (more info) — Approximately 36 people who work from Memorial Day through mid–August. Application priority date is February 11, but applications may still be mailed after that date.
3. Full Season Staff (more info) — These are select persons that are able to work for the entire season—Memorial Day through late October.  Generally, these are recent college graduates and interns.  Camp Arcadia is willing to consider a wide variety internship placements.  In the past we have had interns work in the office, kitchen, Trading Post, program, and caretaking.  The application process is the same as the summer staff application process.
4. Teen Week Staff (more info) — Approximately 30 adult counselors, a nurse and a senior counselor work for our week-long teen retreats (Alpha Retreat: June 10–16 and the Omega Retreat June 17–23).  These staff work for one week periods. Counselors work with groups of eight to 11 teens.  The application priority date is February 11th.
5. Fall Staff (more info) — Approximately 30 people ranging in age from teens to retired work mid-August to October. Workers usually stay between one and four weeks.  We start accepting applications in January.  We hire end of season staff that stay for a weekend or a few weeks, but preference is given to staff that can stay for a longer period of time.
