Golf and the Gospel Retreat 2012

Camp Arcadia’s 90th season is off to a great start. The Golf and the Gospel Retreat hosted a record of 70 guests this year. Weather conditions were amazing–70 and sunny all week long. Golfers had the opportunity to play six different courses near camp, including Arcadia Bluffs, Crystal Mountain and Heathlands. Many non-golfers, or “loafers”, as they are called, also spent time crafting in the Craft Shop, relaxing on the patio or shopping in surrounding towns. Evening bible study was lead by the Dean, Pastor Dave Marth. Pastor Marth focused on the parables in Luke’s gospel. “It was a wonderful community that formed this week.  Everyone was so welcoming and eager to make new friends.  I haven’t laughed so hard in a long time.  I can’t wait for next year,” remarked Golf & Gospel guest Paul Burow.
