[Be a Monthly Donor] [How Gifts are Used] [Read a Testimony of What You Support]
Improvements and additions at Camp Arcadia are made possible through your support and generosity. Last year, Camp received approximately $50,000 in donations. Thank you, thank you, and thank you again to all of the generous donors.
“Often when I sit in the Dean’s program, I marvel at how blessed I feel to be spending time in a community of people who choose to spend their vacation time intentionally strengthening relationships with God, family and friends. “
Your generosity is vital to Camp Arcadia’s ministry because guest fees do not pay for improvements to buildings, programs, grounds, or provide financial scholarships for guests. Camp Arcadia depends on your support to continually improve this ministry for you and your family.
Please know that gifts of any amount are helpful. Camp Arcadia continues to thrive and meet its mission to renew our guests in spirit, mind and body because of the support we receive from you.

Here Is What You Support – Cheryl’s Story
By making donations to Camp Arcadia, you are helping to create the following experience for other Christians. Annual donations are very important to Camp Arcadia because guest fees do not pay for improvements to buildings, programs, grounds, or provide financial scholarships for guests.
“Our vacations at Camp Arcadia have always been restful getaways that have filled us up spiritually, emotionally, and physically. Spiritually we have been filled up by the teaching time and the time in nature. For example, one day after listening to the pastor this year speak on prayer, I then went for a walk on the beach and had a great talk with God. It’s so easy to see the majesty of God with a clear view of the sky and the waves rolling in. God’s peace seems to fill RKD in abundance. The staff seem to be filled with joy and always so friendly.
On an emotional level, it is such a blessing to be away from media such as TV, computer, and telephones. The funny thing is, we don’t even miss the technology when we are at RKD! We spend much of our time talking to each other and talking to other families we have met. It’s so nice to meet the other families and know we have Christ as our common ground. It’s so nice not to be in a hurry, so you can really listen. Our children have really benefited from this. There is such a great group of kids who come and all play together across the age levels. There is an inclusiveness that there isn’t always at home or school. It’s a safe place too for them to have a bit more independence and to just go play without the formality of a ‘play date’. We have often left and said that this experience is a little taste of what community will be like in heaven. A place we can worship, laugh, play, create, and just be with other people in harmony.
"...this experience is a little taste of what community will be like in heaven."
Physically we come away from RKD filled up with great food and a great balance of rest and activity. At home we don’t play or rest enough because we have many responsibilities and roles. I think that moms especially get a break here. At home we spend so much time shopping, preparing, and cleaning up from cooking. Here that is all done for us and in itself is a huge break to have that and have it still be healthy meals. Some other vacations you get a break only by eating out and that usually is not healthy or fun with young children. Last, there are fun things to do with kids, and I don’t have to plan them or clean up after them (esp. the crafts!) I often tell other moms: “some vacations you come home feeling like you need a vacation, at RKD you come home feeling like you really had one.”
One Last memory: many times last year after RKD when the twins would have a fight about something or other, Ally would run upstairs and sob ‘I just want to go live in Camp Arcadia forever’. It clearly was the best place she could think of wanting to go, where things are always good.”
